A significant pain point for readers who come to the TYPO3 documentation, has been the challenge of finding what they’re looking for. A dedicated working group has implemented a new global search mechanism. It’s now in beta and we’re looking for community members to help put it through its paces.

Jens Liesegang set up his first TYPO3 installation in 1998, and though an active contributor, he is no web developer. He is the TYPO3 Association’s lawyer, a longstanding volunteer working for the common good of our open source CMS.

Some time ago I needed to extend an Extbase controller in TYPO3 10.4 which used dependency injection through constructor injection. So I used XCLASS to extend the original controller and added an own constructor which added an additional dependency, but this obviously did not work out properly, since the constructor was always called with the amount of arguments from the original class.

Vor TYPO3 9 und dem Routing im Core war RealURL sehr gnädig, was URLs anging. So konnte eine Seite mit .html Suffix und auch mit / aufgerufen werden (mein Empfinden). In TYPO3 10 funktioniert diese Verhalten nur in eine Richtung. Konfiguriert man eine .html Endung über den PageSuffix, ist die Seite weiterhin mit Trailing Slash aufrufbar

Thema 1:
Vorstellung und Demo der Content Block Registration API
Mit der Content Block Registration API können einfach und standardisiert Inhaltselement für TYPO3 erstellt werden. Die API wurde von der TYPO3 Structured Content Initiative entwickelt und seht seit kurzem im TER zum Download bereit.
Lidia Demin und André Kraus werden uns das Konzept und den aktuellen Stand präsentieren. Außerdem ist eine Live-Demo der Extension geplant.
Thema 2:
Responsive Images und CropVariants
Wolfgang zeigt eine Methode, wie man "echte" responsive images in TYPO3 verwendet und auch verschiedene Bildausschnitte für verschiedene Viewport-Größen definieren kann.

Wenn Sie an einen Blogbeitrag denken, stellen Sie sich wahrscheinlich zunächst eine Seite mit viel geschriebenem Text vor. Das ist definitiv nicht falsch. Früher waren die meisten Blogbeiträge genau das. Jede Menge geschriebener Text. Heutzutage ist es allerdings unvorstellbar, einen Beitrag ohne Bilder zu veröffentlichen. Der Text wird natürlich aus SEO-Sicht immer eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Aber die Verwendung von Bildern wird Ihrem Beitrag helfen, mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf Facebook, Twitter und sogar auf Google zu bekommen.
