TYPO3 Newsletter - Oktober 2020
Herzlich willkommen zur neuen Ausgabe des TYPO3 Newsletters. Hier findest Du Neuigkeiten und Interessantes aus dem TYPO3-Universum.
Ab kommenden Montag müssen wir alle uns wieder sehr einschränken, ein Großteil des öffentlichen Lebens wird für einige Wochen nicht mehr in der von uns allen gewünschten Form möglich sein. Das ist für manche nur lästig, für die meisten aber sehr hart. Aber trotz allem leider notwendig.
Auch die TYPO3-Community leidet natürlich darunter. Das ganze Jahr fanden kaum die gewohnten und geliebten Offline-Veranstaltungen statt. Kaum Barcamps, kaum Usergroup-Treffen oder andere Events.
Um so schöner aber, dass sich die Community davon nicht abhalten lässt, trotzdem etwas gemeinsam zu unternehmen. Bei den Online-Veranstaltungen kommt auch hinzu, dass es keine Reisekosten gibt und auch die Entfernung keine Rolle spielt. Auch im November werden wieder einige Usergroup-Treffen remote stattfinden. Infos dazu findest Du weiter unten.
Und auch wieder die Erinnerung: wenn Du einen interessanten Artikel, eine nützliche Extension kennst, oder selber eine Veranstaltung organisierst: teile uns das bitte mit, damit wir hier im Newsletter darauf hinweisen können. Dazu findest Du am Ende dieser E-Mail einen Link.

The Board is asking our community for budget ideas for 2021. For the coming year we would like to focus our budget on the topics accessibility and user experience in our “Innovation, Events and Education Pool”. We reserved €310,000 for this pool. Due to the success of our TYPO3 Company we are also able to increase the Core Development Budget from €350,000 to €500,000 in 2021!
The TYPO3 Association met online on the 21–22 September for this year’s third virtual retreat. The entire board was present and worked together to review the year and look ahead to 2021.

Tipp: nicht jede Extension muss 1:1 verwendet werden. Manchmal kann der Code einer Extension aber auch einfach zeigen, wie bestimmte Dinge gemacht werden können ;)
