E-mail forwarding via e-mail filter

Are the emails you have set up as forwarders not arriving?
Then we recommend creating e-mail addresses as mailboxes and forwarding them via an e-mail filter. E-mails are then sent directly to the target mailbox instead of via our SMTP server.

Create a new e-mail filter

In this example, a forwarding is created without any special filter rules. To create a new forwarding, first open the customer menu and click on Email filter under the Configuration module and then on the New rule template button.

Settings under the General tab

A pop-up will now open in which you can specify both the name of the filter and a description. As the Name field is a mandatory field, it must be filled in. Click on (3) Actions.

Settings under the Actions tab

This shows the options for how your email will be handled if all your conditions apply. In this example, they all always apply as we have not created any. If you still want to use conditions, we recommend our video tutorial Create email filter.

Under the Actions tab (3), select Forward to an e-mail address and Discard original message. A pop-up will now open where you can add your target addresses. Alternatively, you can of course also select to be forwarded to an e-mail address, but please note that in this case the original mailbox will also be filled. When you are finished, click on Save.

Assign e-mail filters to an e-mail address

Finally, you only need to select the mailbox for which this filter is to be used. To do this, go to Manage e-mail addresses under Configuration, select your e-mail address, click on the Edit icon and on Individualmail filters.

Here you only need to select your mail filter in the New filter rule select box under From rule template. Confirm with Add, click on Save in the pop-up and then on Save again.
