Extension Key: news

Introduction

There are several ways to create current news or blog articles with TYPO3. For a long time, the tt_news extension was considered the only comprehensive solution. For some time now, however, there has been a newer alternative, the news extension by Georg Ringer, which could become the successor to tt_news. News offers a similar, sometimes even greater range of functions than tt_news.

news is constantly being further developed; version 2.1.0 is used in the videos.

Create a news archive

The news extension offers the option of automatically archiving news articles on a certain date or after a certain period of time. Archived news are no longer visible in the normal view of news articles, but can be made available via a special archive page, for example.
