Comment with comments

Extension Key: comments

Introduction

If you want to give visitors to your website the opportunity to comment on your content, you can use the comments extension.

comments allows you to comment at page level or on data records that can be displayed in a single view, for example with extensions such as tt_news or news.

In the following videos we show you how to install and configure comments, how you can integrate it into a page and how you can change its appearance.

Please note: the extension has not been updated since July 2013. Apparently it is no longer actively maintained. We can therefore no longer recommend its use! (Status: January 2015)

Installation and configuration

In this video you will see how to install and configure comments.

TYPO3 6.0.0 and comments 1.6.4 are used.

UPDATE from 12.02.2013:
Version 1.3.3 of the pagebrowse extension was released on 12.02.13. This update fixes the error in connection with TYPO3 6.0, so if you are using at least version 1.3.3, the adaptation of the file /typo3conf/etx/pagebrowse/pi1/class.tx_pagebrowse_pi1.php described in the video isnot necessary!

Use in a page

The following video shows how you can insert comments as a content element on a page.

UPDATE:
If no text is visible next to the icon when inserting the plugin in your installation, updating the language packs in the language backend module could help.

Customize the output

In this video you will see how you can define the mandatory fields of the comment form using Typoscript. We also show you how you can adapt HTML and CSS to your needs.
