Videos on the customer menu

Introduction

Here you will get an introduction to the customer menu at jweiland.net. The most important functions of the customer menu are explained in the following videos.

The "General" area

The following video shows you which functions you will find in the "General" area of your customer menu.

The domain administration

You can see your booked domains in the domain management of the customer menu. Here you can make various settings and create subdomains, for example.

e-mail

Manage e-mail addresses

This video shows you how to manage your e-mail addresses via the customer menu. You can create new e-mail inboxes and forwarders and edit or delete existing ones.

Create e-mail filter

You can use the filters to process incoming emails according to certain criteria. Common application example: sorting incoming emails into certain folders depending on the sender.

Please note: if you edit an existing filter template, you may have to adjust the actions in the email inbox. Alternatively, you can also delete the filter there and reassign it.

Background: individual actions can be created for each email account for each template.

Order SSL certificates

FTP, WebDAV, SSH access

This video shows you how to create new FTP and WebDAV accounts and how to manage existing ones. You will also see how you can view your SSH access data.

Set up and use WebDAV

Using the WebDAV protocol, you can use an online storage (in our example, the normal web space) within the operating system like a normal hard disk.

Using Windows 10 as an example, this video shows you how to set up and use WebDAV.

MySQL databases

No modern CMS works without a database. You also need a database for TYPO3. This video shows you how to manage existing databases or create new ones.

Manage cronjobs

You can use a cronjob to automate certain tasks on your web space. This video shows you how to create new cronjobs and manage existing ones.

Further menu items

This video briefly explains the other areas of the customer menu, such as statistics and webmail access. You will also see how you can expand your hosting package by booking additional services.
