In recent years, larger Git-based solutions (such as GitHub and GitLab) changed the primary development branch name from master to main. TYPO3 Core Development uses the Git versioning system and its review system, Gerrit. When people create their new repositories on GitHub or GitLab, their default branch is called main, and TYPO3 is now keeping in sync with the common standard.

TYPO3 is a content management system (CMS) with which websites, microsites and intranets can be realized well and, above all, extremely individually. As TYPO3 can be easily operated by editors, necessary updates can be made without detailed technical knowledge and regardless of location. Thanks to front-end editing, content can be edited directly while browsing.
However, this alone is not enough to achieve top rankings on Google. TYPO3 already comes with some necessary extensions that can facilitate search engine optimization. In addition, further relevant optimizations can be made using other extensions. In this article, we will show you the best tips for Typo3 SEO.

A long time ago, I wrote an article about how to speed up your TYPO3 project and achieve scores of 100 in PageSpeed Insights (aka Lighthouse). A lot has happened since then. The technology has developed further and TYPO3 itself has also become faster. But anyone hoping that an update will be enough to increase the score will soon be disappointed.

The TYPO3camp RheinRuhr took place this year from November 5 to 7 in online format for the first time: with a playful pixel look, a stratospheric flight and lots of virtual dance parties. Of course, as usual, many of our colleagues were also there - so this year there is a group recap to make room for all personal impressions. Enjoy!
