The most common way to create a sitepackage (template extension) is probably the "Extension Builder" extension.
A bash script can be found on Github to quickly and easily create all the necessary files for your own sitepackage. The script should and can of course be adapted to your own needs.

The "maps2" extension allows you to use Google Maps on your own website. Various map types can be displayed:

New features in version 4 include the option of displaying images in the info window of a map point.
