Welcome to the new issue of the TYPO3 Newsletter. Here you will find news and interesting facts from the TYPO3 universe.

On December 21, the TYPO3 versions 6.2.17 and 7.6.2 were released. These are maintenance releases in which bugs have been fixed.

An advance notice: A new video training course on TYPO3 7 will be published by Rheinwerk-Verlag (formerly Galileo) at the end of February. Our colleague Wolfgang Wagner will start producing the training in mid-January.

Fluid-based content elements are one of the major innovations in TYPO3 7. This guide shows you how to create your own content elements based on "fluid_styled_content".

The big advantage of fluid_styled_content is the fluid template-based templates for the content elements. While complex TypoScript blocks were previously required with css_styled_content to change the front-end output of the content elements, the fluid templates can now be edited very easily.
