Set up e-mail accounts in the iPhone/iPad

The following steps and settings must be made so that you can retrieve and send your e-mails on the iPhone or iPad via the encrypted connection (SSL).

1) Open the Settings app.

2) Now select the menu item Passwords & Accounts.

3) Click on Add account.

4) Then scroll down and select Other.

5) Select Add mail account.

6) Now enter the required data:

Name: Desired sender name
E-mail: Your e-mail address
Password: Your password for the e-mail inbox
Description: Any description of the account

7) Now select whether you want to receive the e-mails on your iPhone viaPOP3orIMAPon your iPhone. This decision is decisive for the further configuration of the e-mail account. In this example, we will show you how to set up the account with IMAP.

8) For SSL-encrypted retrieval of emails, the following information is required under Server for incoming emails:

Server in Cloud Hosting

In Cloud Hosting, use the domain name of your email address for the incoming mail server (example: vorname.nachname@beispielwebseite.de => DOMAINNAME = examplewebsite.com).

Server in Classic Hosting

Hostname: sslin.de

Username: Your e-mail address
Password: The password is automatically taken from point 6)

9) The following details are required for SSL-encrypted sending under Server for outgoing emails:

Server in Cloud Hosting

In Cloud Hosting, use the domain name of your email address for the outgoing mail server (example: vorname.nachname@beispielwebseite.de => DOMAINNAME = examplewebsite.com).

Server in Classic Hosting

Hostname: sslout.de

Username: Your e-mail address
Password: The password for your e-mail address

10) It may take a few minutes to check the account settings

11) Click on Save in the top right-hand corner. The server will then check the settings entered. This may take a moment.
