Set up e-mail accounts in Android

To be able to retrieve and send your emails on your Android smartphone via IMAP using the encrypted connection (SSL), the following steps and settings must be made

Important note

We will show you how to set up your email account in the Gmail app from Google. As the email apps from the various manufacturers and Android versions sometimes differ fundamentally, we cannot offer support for other email apps.

1) Open the Gmail program.

2) Go to the settings.

3) Click on Add account.

4) Select the option Personal (IMAP/POP).

5) Enter your e-mail address.

6) Select Private (IMAP) as the account type.

7) Enter the password for your mailbox.

8) If you are a Cloud Hosting customer, enter the domain name of the email address as the server; if you are a Classic Hosting customer, enter sslin.de.
Select SSL/TLS as the security type, the port should automatically change to 993.

9) If you are a Cloud Hosting customer, enter the domain name of the email address as the SMTP server; if you are a Classic Hosting customer, enter sslout.de.
Select SSL/TLS as the security type, the port should automatically change to 465.

10) Specify the desired settings.

11) Assign an account name and define your sender name.
