TYPO3Camp Stuttgart was not to be missed

A star in the TYPO3 sky: The TYPO3Camp Stuttgart took place last weekend for the 6th time in the castle of the University of Hohenheim.

The TYPO3camp is particularly popular in Stuttgart: once again this year, tickets were sold out within minutes.

The first participants arrived on Friday evening and were greeted by the last rays of sunshine of the day and DJ Ralf with groovy music. TYPO3 friends immediately had a lot to talk about and their stomachs were also catered for with a plentiful supply of pizza. New participants were amazed at the beautiful ambience, one could say: the most beautiful camp location in Germany.

On Saturday morning, after a delicious breakfast, the session planning took place in the castle's hall of mirrors. Every participant who had prepared a presentation or workshop or who wanted a session was allowed to have their say. A total of 5 rooms were available for 5 one-hour sessions each. The topics were allocated to these rooms depending on the number of expected listeners. The audience was spoiled for choice. From an Extbase workshop to TYPO3 marketing, there were many topics and areas of interest. There was also space in side rooms for additional exchange of experiences with other participants.

This year, some participants were appointed TYPO3 experts, recognizable by their orange badges. This meant that even newcomers had the right people to talk to.

In the evening, everyone was not only able to digest the information, but also enjoy the suckling pig at the social event, which is known far beyond the city limits. Of course, our bartenders Patrick and Jochen also served excellent cocktails, including one without alcohol! The atmosphere was perfect with music, competitions, games and lots of good-humored participants. Who said nerds don't move?

On Sunday, the session planning didn't start until 10:30 a.m. for well-known reasons. Once again there were interesting topics on offer. All too soon everything was over again at 16:00. All in all, it was an exciting weekend with great people who were happy to share their knowledge. The trophy for the best contribution this year went to Andrea Schmuttermair. Congratulations from us and have a good trip to Berlin!

As every year, we, jweiland.net, were actively involved in organizing and sponsoring the camp. Many thanks to all participants, the other sponsors and the University of Hohenheim, who all contributed to a successful event. However, we will have to negotiate with the weather again next year.
