PHP version 8.1 now available

The new PHP version 8.1 is now available in our cloud hosting plans.

PHP is the programming language behind many Internet applications, such as TYPO3, WordPress, Shopware, etc.

On November 25, 2021 was published by The PHP Group released the new PHP version 8.1. It offers a number of improvements, in particular optimized performance. The new version is now also available in our cloud hosting plans. In the cloud hosting packages, the PHP version can be selected for each domain or subdomain.

Users can, for example, run their current website with PHP 7.4 and test a new version with PHP 8.0 or 8.1 on a subdomain at the same time. This is a major advantage over providers where the PHP version can only be set globally in the entire package and then applies to all domains and subdomains.
