The Inspiring Conference took place for the 4th time in the boiler house of the "Alte Spinnerei" in Kolbermoor near Rosenheim. Three of us attended the conference, which was all about neos and flow.

From March 27 to 28, around 250 participants met at the Kesselhaus in Kolbermoor. At the Inspiring Conference, everything revolved around Flow and Neos. With some top-class speakers, the developer community was able to find out about the latest trends and technologies. On Saturday, there was also a keynote by PHP professionals Sebastian Bergmann and Stefan Priebsch on Test Driven Development.

We were particularly interested in the presentations on Neos, version 2.0beta of which is due to be released in the week after Easter. This new version brings interesting features, e.g. localization of the backend, SEO and analytics integration, search functions and the ability to store resources such as images and files in different cloud systems. Aske Ertmann's presentation was very interesting with many practical software recipes for use in Neos.

Good news for developers too: there are plans to host the Neos source code on Github in future. This could make it easier for many to collaborate. However, there is currently no exact date for this.

In addition to the presentations, there was also plenty of socializing. During the breaks and at the official party on Friday evening, it was possible to meet many old friends and make new acquaintances.

In addition to sponsoring and hosting the conference website, our new exhibition stand was used for the first time! We will also be using it at various TYPO3camps in the future. So keep your eyes open - in addition to interesting conversations, we always have a few goodies ready ;)
