Federal administration relies on TYPO3 for websites
With the Government Site Builder (GSB) in version 11, the ITZ Bund relies on TYPO3. A consortium of 16 experienced TYPO3 agencies led by Materna has been awarded the contract for Lot 3 (migration and relaunch including training).
Over 500 federal authorities can now call up the corresponding services in the federal government's department store.
The Government Site Builder GSB 11 is an important step towards digital sovereignty. The decisive factors for the use of TYPO3 were the high level of security, the flexible configuration of user rights, the workflow management and the possibility of efficiently implementing barrier-free and multilingual websites.
The source code of GSB 11 has been published on Open CoDE.
In a second phase, GSB 11 will also be available for other institutions such as federal states, cities and municipalities. While the federal government's websites are operated exclusively by the ITZBund, the second product also enables hosting by other providers.
